About Us
Owned and managed by David Lau, The Brookwood Studio, Inc. has over 20 years of experience in recording all types of music, but is probably best known for orchestral, choral, and jazz recording. We routinely handle projects ranging from student demo recordings to major symphonic and choral recordings for international release on major labels. Our facility has two advanced SonicSolutions digital editing suites, a fully-automated digital console, and a spacious studio with a Steinway concert grand piano. More importantly, we have the experience, skill, and concern to make your recording the very best it can be.
The Brookwood Studio has always been a step ahead, when it comes to recording technology. We were one of the first to recognize and embrace digital audio in 1983! Brookwood was the first studio in the Midwest to aquire a hard-disk based digital editing system (Studer-Editech Dyaxis) capable of recording, editing, mixing, time-scaling, and other processing, all in the digital domain in 1989. We now use 2 Sonic Solutions Digital Audio Workstations, along with DTRS (Tascam) modular digital multi-track recorders, and a DA7 automated digital mixer for multi-track recording and mixing.
